Water Falls in NYC and Governor’s Island

An email written on June 29, 2008 :

Yesterday, Mom and I went to lower Manhattan.  My main purpose originally was only to take a look at those 4 water falls that were established only a few days ago. It was said to have needed $15 millions for this biggest art project in NYC.   In order to see all the falls, we’ve walked along the shore line of lower Manhattan, from a place just west of Brooklyn Bridge (and actually just south of China Town) to the Battery Park.
On the way, we across the Governor’s Island ferry.  I heard about Governor’s Island before but I didn’t realize that it was also free (just like the State Island Ferry that even you’ve taken before).   So, without hesitation, we also took the ferry and paid visit to the Governor’s Island.
Not a bad trip …
Some 15 photos were taken here:
PS:  Governor’s Island seems to be only opened between May 31 and Oct. 12, each year.
